Fun, Engaging and Informative

I thoroughly enjoyed the Kreider Mediation 40-hour training with Steve. His engaging teaching style made every Zoom session something I looked forward to after work. The mock mediations were both fun and informative, providing hands-on experience.

The networking opportunities in the class were outstanding, connecting me with like-minded professionals. Impressed by the overall experience, I’ve decided to enroll in Steve’s 30-hour advanced family course to further enhance my mediation skills. Excited about the continued learning journey!

Excellent class! Excellent instructor!

I just took the Kreider Mediation Basic course to become a trained Mediator, and I am so glad I did. It was a great course! I was hesitant in the beginning because I have never taken an online course via Zoom before, and his course is less expensive than every other course available in Texas. I gave it a shot and am now walking away from the class with first-hand knowledge and experience in mediation.

Steve makes the course easy for you to attend. He sends instructions every day before class with the link to the Zoom meeting and how to access it. He is always early and will start answering questions before class even begins. Once class gets into full swing, Steve keeps your interest and keeps you engaged in his lecture for the day. I can say that he is, by far, the best professor I have ever had in being able to keep my attention and wanting to stay in the class, even after class is over. He gives you one-on-one time if you need help, and he always answers your questions. Furthermore, he posits questions asked in class to other classmates in an open forum, since they are predominantly people who have been in the workforce for several years. Steve consistently asks for feedback from the group about all aspects of the course, from how his lecture came across and if there are any questions or clarifications he can address, to evaluating how students practicing their new skills fared during their mock mediations. He also engages the class by asking students to give their opinions openly on class. In my mind, that is quite brave since you never know what people will say. He also encourages his students to assist in his future classes’ mock mediations. Trust me, it’s more fun than you expect!

Steve gives you access to a folder with his course materials inside. It contains samples and information from his presentation each day that will aid you in your mediation practice. These materials are exactly what you need to start your meditation practice without looking like a fool or falling on your face. Steve makes sure that won’t happen to you. Additionally, he has guest speakers and assistant instructors who give you insight into becoming a mediator.

Steve is a warm and charismatic man who has a huge wealth of knowledge that he wants to share with each student every day. He makes you feel like your learning is very important to him and his only focus is your success in mediation. He gives you the confidence you need to step into a new area that can be hard to navigate on your own. Steve wants to arm you with the tools you need to effectively and successfully help others resolve their conflicts without going to court (a/k/a mediation). And it’s pretty cool when he tells you a little about his time working on Pitch Perfect 3 or on Duck Dynasty. He might even show you his cameo in Pitch Perfect 3 if you ask.

The course is 40 hours of training that is needed to practice mediation in Texas and other states. Classes are held during the evening hours, so you never have to miss work, and you don’t have to have class on the weekends. His rate is significantly less than other courses offered in Texas, and I anticipate his class is much more fun and instructional than others available. The courts in various counties know him, and the people at the Dispute Resolution Centers (DRC) say that he is a good mediator with a good instructional class that is worth taking. Finally, he provides you a certificate of training in mediation that you must have to work with the various courts in your county.

My recommendation: The class is great! Take the class from Steve Kreider at Kreider Mediation. It’s worth your money and your time. You will not be disappointed, and you will probably want to take any other class he ever offers just so he can be your instructor again.

Interactive, engaging, and insightful!

Steve creates an environment that encourages participation and learning. You learn from not only Steve, but also from your peers. I started the class thinking I would just “get through it”. I did not anticipate forging close friendships and actually having fun while learning. I was sad to see the class end! Although participation is a little intimidating at first, Steve creates a platform for constructive criticism free from personal attacks. I truly cannot say enough about this class. If you take any other courses – you will be missing out!
